In the following we list the main research stays at other centers, in the frame of the project, and that have not been included in the section of coordination and internal working meetings

    2014

  • Research stay, 23-January to 1 February 2014, of J.R. Sendra (U. Alcalá) at the Dipartimento di Matematica, Università degli Studi di Milano, Milano, Italy, to work with prof. A. Alzati on applications of algebraic geometry in computer vision and optimality of rational parametrizations.
  • Research stay, October 12-17, of S.L. Rueda (U. Politécnica de Madrid) at the Department of Mathematics, Universidad del Atlántico, Barranquilla, Colombia to work with Prof. Primitivo Acosta-Humánez on the computation of differential resultants for differential operators and its application to the computation of spectral curves (goal 1.2.2).


  • 2013

  • Research stay, 4 -17 February, of L. Gonzalez-Vega (U. Cantabria) at Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences (Austin, USA) to work with prof. Chandrajit Bajaj on the generalization of baricentric coordinates to convex subsets of R^3 (goals 1.1.4 y 2.5.1).
  • Research stay, 19 April to 17 May, of L. Gonzalez-Vega (U. Cantabria) at Institute of Applied Geometry (Johannes Kepler Universität, Linz, Austria) to work with prof. Bert Juttler on the applications of the isogeometric analysis and preparation of 2013 SIAM Conference on Geometric and Physical Modeling (Denver, Noviembre 2013). (goals 1.1.4, 2.1.3 y 2.5.1).
  • Research stay, 3-16 June 2013, of L. Gonzalez-Vega (U. Cantabria) at Institut de Recherche to work with prof. Marie-Françoise Roy on the formulae relating objects from the elimination and roots (goal 1.1.4).
  • Research stay, July 4 - September 22 2013, of I. Necula (U. Sevilla) at Universidad de Cantabria, Dpto. de Matematicas, Estadistica y Computacion to work with L. Gonzalez-Vega , M. Fioravanti (Goal 2.3.2) and with G. Diaz-Toca (Goal 2.5.1)
  • Research stay, 14-29 july, of J.R. Sendra (U. Alcalá) y de F. Winkler (Johannes Kepler Universität) at the Vietnam Institute for Advance Study in Mathematics in Hanoi, the Department of Mathematics, Quy Nhon University, and the University of Technology in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, to work with prof. C. Ngo on actions of groups of birational transformations on algebraic differential equations (goal 1.2.1) and approximate parametrization (goal 2.2.1).
  • Research stay, 21-27 july, of S.L. Rueda (U. Politécnica de Madrid) at the Department of Computing, Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia to work with Prof. Scott MacCallum on the computation of nonlinear sparse differential resultants (goal 1.2.2).
  • Research Stay of J.G. Alcazar (U. Alcalá), May 31th to August 30th, at the University of Oslo (Norway), to work with prof. Georg Muntingh in the topic "Similarities of rational curves, simmetries of surfaces" (related to goal 2.3.1.)
  • Research Stay of D. Sevilla (U. Extremadura), November 10th to November 30th, at the "Special Semester on Applications of Algebra and Number Theory" of RICAM (Linz, Austria) in the topic "covering of rational parametric surfaces" (goal 1.1.3.)
  • Research stay, November 20-23, of L. Gonzalez-Vega (U. Cantabria) at Institute of Applied Geometry ( Johannes Kepler Universität, Linz, Austria) to work with the prof. Bert Juttler on the proposal of STARDUST project (Stable and Robust Computation in Geometric Design and Numerical Simulation) within the VII EU programme (goals 1.1.4, 2.1.3, 2.3.2 y 2.5.1).

  • Research stay (23 april to 15 may) of S.L. Rueda (U. Politécnica de Madrid) at the Departamento de Algebra, Universidad de Granada to work with prof. J. Gómez-Torrecillas on the definition of differential resultants for Ore polynomials (goal 1.2.2).
